Race fees: going back in time…..

In the spirit of bringing back those elements that make the Amherst 10-Miler the classic New England Road Race we have grown to love, and in conjunction with bringing back the original course, we have dropped the race entry fees back to what they were the last time we ran the original course:

  • $35 through February 12, 2017
  • $40 from February 13, 2017 through race day

All USTAF-NE members get a $5 discount if you register before February 19, 2017. On the registration site, be sure to choose “Road Race- USATF-NE member”. Your individual member number is required in order to receive the discount. If you are not a USATF-NE member but would like to become one, go to

Individual Registration
Team Registration:
Team members may register themselves via RunReg (same as individual registration above) – just be sure to indicate your team name and your USATF team number
if you are the captain/coach/leader of a team and would like to register your entire team at once, please:
2 –  email the completed entry form to the Race Director at (please send as an excel form, do NOT send as a PDF).
3 – mail  a check for the total registration fee for all registrants, made out to Sugarloaf Mountain Athletic Club, to the address provided on the form
Team entry forms MUST be received no later than  5 p.m. on Wednesday, February 22.  No exceptions.  After that, team members will have to register via RunReg or on race morning.  Captains/coaches/team leaders – for the sake of the R.D.’s sanity and to make day-of registration run smoothly, you are highly encouraged to email team entry forms even if they are not 100% complete by the February 22 deadline.

In an effort to be environmentally friendly, pre-race day registration is available online only. Online registration closes at midnight on Friday, February 24, 2017. Race day registration will be available and will open at 9:00 a.m. on race morning.

***A portion of the net proceeds will be given to area schools to benefit their track and cross-country programs. Other proceeds go to support the activities of the Sugarloaf Mountain Athletic Club, whose mission is to support running and fitness activities for all ages in Franklin, Hampden, and Hampshire Counties***
